We’ve been working on these beautiful Rococo-inspired oil paintings for quite some time now, and just look at them!

There’s been so much to learn along the way, from creating those gorgeous folds in the fabric to building up soft skin tones, delicate flowers and all that lovely atmospheric light.

I particularly love how different the two paintings are.

One is full of warm golden colours and flowing pink fabrics, while the other has a much softer, more delicate feel with her beautiful pink gown and roses.

Lots of patience, plenty of layers and some very tiny brushes involved in these! 😂

But what a lovely result, and such a pleasure to see them finished.
