This was such a fun acrylic project because we all started from the same cat eye reference but each painting ended up with its own character.

We focused on observing colour rather than just seeing “brown fur” or “black fur”, building up texture with expressive marks and gradually bringing those striking green eyes to life.

I always love watching confidence grow during projects like these — especially when students suddenly realise they can create something they never thought they could paint, all in 1 session!
