Paint a Portrait in Oils – For Beginners At The Arthouse Oasis
If you would like to learn how to paint a portrait in oils in a direct, lively, expressive way then this half day workshop is for you.
Jo Sinclair is an experienced portrait artist and teacher. Jo will take you through the different stages of mapping out a portrait, applying tone and form, mixing oil colour and using mediums in a simple to understand way.
All materials, including a variety of photographic portraits will be provided. Alternatively, you can bring your own large photo to work with. Only low odour thinners will be used.
This workshop is completely suitable for beginners as Jo will show you how to get started with oils and progress through the stages of a portrait.
You’ll end up with a finished painting that you can take home with you.
