Painting birds.

Sometimes the simplest subjects become the most joyful to paint.

This recent class focused on one of Britain’s favourite garden birds – the beautiful blue tit (ish). Students practised colour mixing, soft background blending, simple landscape techniques and delicate feather details before finishing their paintings with blossom and wildflowers.

It’s always lovely watching confidence grow throughout the session. By the end, every artist had created a cheerful spring scene full of colour and personality, and no two birds looked quite the same!

These relaxed, step-by-step classes are designed to help artists of all abilities build new skills while enjoying the creative process in a friendly and welcoming studio.
