I’ve been working on an oil painting for my mother‘s 80th birthday, in the style of the Old Masters.

This is the very first layer, it’s a mix of oil and medium to lay a ‘ground’. Then it’s a case of using different materials to subtract flowers out of the background.

I’ll post more progress videos soon.
