Last week I was asked to do a painting demonstration over at Great Hallingbury Ladies Club ❤️

The theme of the evening was anything French! (As you can tell by all of the beautiful red berets!)



I had one hour to paint a portrait, so I used acrylics and chose four colours so as to keep things simple. The Zorn palette is perfect for this kind of situation , because it reduces the amount of decisions you have to make whilst painting. You only have to think about warm and cool, light and dark.

fter the demonstration, we all tucked into a beautiful spread of bread, wine, cheeses and delicious desserts.
