If you can give yourself plenty of time to get into a painting, you can relax into the process. Not only will it feel like more fun, but you will learn so much more by making plenty of mistakes, and then rectifying them.

Having said that, I’m finding that painting my own face is MUCH harder than painting someone else’s! I’m a few hours into this one, I have a long way to go.
