Paint Florals in Oils – 4 Week Course – Week 1

Learn to paint in the style of the Old Masters.

I’ve enjoyed learning this technique so much I just have to share it with you! In this 4 week course we’ll be learning about oils and how they differ from other mediums. We’ll also be learning to paint in the style of the Old Masters, using lots of amazing techniques. This experience is split into multiple sessions because each layer will need to dry before moving onto the next.

The Course is split up as follows:

Week 1 – Oil Underpainting (3hrs)
Week 2 – Cool Transparent Oil Layers (2.5hrs)
Week 3 – Warm Transparent Oil Layers (2.5hrs)
Week 4 – Opaques Oil Layers (3hrs)
Optional Session – Oil Pastel Detailing (1hr)
(12 hrs total but this is approximate).

Total Cost: £175. (Works out at less than £15 per hour, and all materials and refreshments are included).

Some painting experience is helpful but not essential.

Dates are set but if you can’t make these then we can work out a date for you to paint as a 121.
