These portraits are a work in progress, painted in acrylic using a limited palette inspired by Anders Zorn — just four colours: ivory black, titanium white, yellow ochre, and cadmium red. It’s a brilliant way to study warm and cool tones and learn how to create beautiful complexity with minimal ingredients. It’s all about layering, sculpting form, and understanding the planes of the face.

Perfect for those wanting to deepen their portrait skills without the overwhelm of a full palette!
