Gabrielle Vickery Art
I have found my passion for this year, and it’s in oil portraits. I’m just loving the learning curve, how scary it is, and how brave I feel painting faces. My heart actually fills with excitement and determination as I paint, it feels almost otherworldly. I hope that doesn’t sound bonkers. I have 4 portraits under my belt so far, and I’m planning on continuing all year to level up my skills.
I really like trying to capture emotion through the eyes, and I think I’d love to start painting commissions for people. Capturing loved ones through photographs, and adding florals (or anything extra depending on what’s required.) If you are interested in a commissioned painting of or for a loved one, please do get in touch. 🙂

Painting animal eyes!
I always love watching confidence grow during projects like these — especially when students suddenly realise they can create something they never thought they could paint, all in 1 session!

Painting meaninful art
Inspired by Monet’s beautiful water gardens, I wanted to capture that peaceful feeling of standing beside still water and watching light dance across the surface.

Painting Florals in the Studio
Acrylic florals are always so lovely because every painting ends up taking on its own personality.
