Gabrielle Vickery Art

Back in the studio for a portrait study, it’s always the most special time when there’s a chance to mentally shut out everything except the canvas in front of you. Absolute bliss.

I’m going to share ‘A Day in the Studio’ video soon which will contain the timelapse recording of this charcoal drawing. We had a couple of hours to draw it using the techniques learned during the Milan Art Institute online class. I didn’t have jumbo charcoal, so made do with the willow, but I hope you enjoy this sketch as much as I enjoyed drawing it.
